Oviedo Little League Softball & Baseball

The safety of our players and volunteers is the number one priority at Oviedo Little League. Below are the league’s COVID-19 guidelines that will need to be followed:

  1. If a player or volunteer tests positive, please notify your team manager as soon as possible.
  2. If a player or volunteer tests positive, they must meet the below criteria and provide a negative test to return to the field:
    1. Current guidelines require that an individual who tests positive for COVID-19 be isolated for 10 days.
    2. If the individual is asymptomatic, they are isolated for 10 days from the date of the positive test.
    3. If they are symptomatic, they are isolated for 10 days from symptom onset.
  3. Any player or volunteer that has had “close contact” to someone that has tested positive for COVID-19 must quarantine for 10 days.
    1. Close contact is defined as anyone who is within 6 feet of the positive individual for 15 minutes or more within 48 hours of a positive test or symptom onset.
    2. Players and volunteers that are vaccinated are exempt from close contact quarantine.
    3. After close contact the player or volunteer can test on day 5 after the exposure and if the player or volunteer is negative for COVID-19 and is asymptomatic they may return to the field.
    4. If the player or volunteer chose not to get tested, then they must remain in quarantine for 10 days.

We thank you for your help in keeping our players and volunteers safe. Looking forward to a successful fall season.

Thank you,

Oviedo Little League Board of Directors
